Jay C. Greaves
In his new role as Director, Jay’s major priority is to advocate for student success. At Career Path High guiding students on a pathway to success will go well beyond a high school diploma. Their academic experience will also include career training and technical certification that will qualify them for a high wage job and advancement on to other institutions of higher education. Jay’s experience as VP of Instruction at DATC will make him highly qualified for this role. Jay has 30 years of experience in education, including 28 years with the Applied Technology College (ATC) System. He has served for nine years as a classroom educator at the junior high, high school and ATC levels. He has taught many subjects, including math, chemistry, physics, human anatomy and physiology, and health occupations. Most recently, Jay provided 21 years of leadership as the Vice-President of Instruction at the Davis Applied Technology College. Jay’s educational path has prepared him for a career of teaching and mentoring students, leading teams, and building advanced technical programs. He has two Bachelor of Science degrees – Honors Zoology with a Chemistry minor and Biology Composite Teaching. Jay also has a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education.
